Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce announces finalists for the prestigious 37th annual Sterling Awards

The Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the finalists for the 37th Annual Sterling Awards. As one of the Valley’s most highly regarded and competitive business awards, this year’s 12 finalists represent more than just innovation and excellence – they reflect an ongoing commitment to civic service in Scottsdale and the Valley. Join us as we recognize these outstanding businesses who bring excellence, innovation, and community stewardship to both their business and to Scottsdale!

“The Sterling Awards is a remarkable event that showcases companies that are making significant impacts in business and the community.” Said Michelle Pabis, Scottsdale Chamber Board Chair, “Being a part of this process offers a unique opportunity to engage with these companies’ people, tour their facilities, and learn more about their exceptional work firsthand. I’m excited to see what the future holds for these outstanding companies as they continue to lead the way in their respective categories.”

The 2023 Sterling honorees will be revealed at the celebration on Thursday, November 9th, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Purchase your corporate sponsorship for $1,500 that includes 10 tickets, or individual member tickets for $95 or $115 for non-members. For sponsorship or registration information contact Stephanie Miller at 480-355-2704 or [email protected].

“When it comes to recognizing excellence in business, the Sterling Awards have earned a reputation as the benchmark of achievement.” Said Mark Stanton, President and CEO of the Chamber, “As we celebrate our 37th year of honoring outstanding businesses, we are reminded of the innovation and generosity demonstrated by our honorees. It’s a privilege to recognize these companies for their dedication to their business, their employees, and their community.”

28 Chamber member volunteers participated as judges in this competition. Divided among the four Sterling categories (Micro Business, Small Business, Big Business, and Non-Profit) the judges work individually to score each applicant within their assigned category then visit each finalist company and interview key personnel. A professional video featuring each finalist will be produced and revealed at the celebration prior to announcing the honorees. Stephanie Miller, the Chamber’s Events and Programs Manager, said, “Through the recognition and appreciation of our finalists and sponsors, the Chamber emphasizes its commitment to the business community, highlighting and celebrating the achievements of those who drive progress and excellence.”

About the Sterling Awards Judging Process

Celebrating 37 years of business excellence, the Sterling Awards are among the most coveted business awards in the Valley, with a rigorous application, judging and selection process. Four teams of judges each conduct an initial review of all applications and narrow the field to three finalists in each category.  Once the finalists are identified, the judging teams visit those companies to conduct a personal interview and get a behind-the-scenes look at the operations.  Each judge then independently casts a set of points for the finalists based on their embodiment of the award criteria.  The points are tallied, and the results remain secret until the day of the event. One of the highlights of the Sterling Awards ceremony is the highly anticipated video presentation of each of the finalists, produced by Moorhouse Creative.
