Biden-Harris Administration Announces $24 Million to Further Expand America’s Clean Energy Workforce and Enhance Manufacturing Efficiency

In support of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced 21 new projects, including several in Arizona, selected to receive $24 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to bolster the development of clean energy workforce training programs – with a focus on jobs that do not require a four-year degree – within union training programs, community colleges, and trade schools across the country. Two Years Later: Clean Energy Boom Brings More than 18,000 Jobs and Almost $12 Billion in Investment to Arizona

Two years after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the clean energy plan is turbocharging the clean energy economy and revitalizing communities across Arizona, as illustrated in Climate Power’s latest Clean Energy Boom report. The clean energy plan has spurred the creation of over 330,000 new jobs nationwide, with Arizona ranking seventh in the country with 18,130 good-paying clean energy jobs announced since the IRA’s passage. Climate and clean energy investments also total $11.81 billion in Arizona, the 10th highest in the nation. Read more >>


Clean Energy Leaders Showcase Opportunity for Arizona to be Ranked No. 1 for Solar Energy and Solar Manufacturing in the U.S.

Clean Energy for America and OMCO Solar, one of the nation’s leading U.S. factory-direct manufacturers of solar trackers and fixed-tilt solutions, recently hosted an event with local business leaders, solar energy organizations and local elected officials to discuss how and why Arizona needs to focus energy on creating a more business-friendly environment for solar energy and solar manufacturing.

How Local First Arizona can help rural businesses tap into solar installation funds

In Arizona alone, $10 million per year is being made available to small businesses in rural areas and agricultural producers across the state to cut their utility costs through the use of various energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. Each REAP grant will cover up to 50% of the total project cost, a significant savings.

Small business owners can now consider installing solar, wind or biogas technologies and making energy efficient upgrades knowing that these projects are financially in reach. Read more >>
